Award winning Tasmanian designer/maker. Working almost exclusively with Tasmanian high quality merino yarn. Jan’s machine knitted, hand crafted garments have been exhibited extensively throughout Australia, most recently at the Art Gallery of NSW and internationally, at the Marimura Art Museum of Tokyo.

Jan has lectured in textiles at the University of Tasmania where she recently completed a Masters of Fine Art and Design focusing on Sculpture.

Drawing her inspiration from the symbolic notion of journeys, Jan was originally influenced by the journeys of her Norwegian ancestors. Her work is constantly evolving, each piece is individually designed and themed with the most recent works reflecting a multi-cultural approach.
